Gone are the days when business was only a thing for adults. Here’s a list of some young entrepreneurs who own successful companies in real estate, fashion, entertainment, and more setting new standards for business in The Gambia.

Binta Drammeh: She’s the founder of Cut N Fit Tailoring and has been a top fashion designer for over a decade now. Binta is also the co-owner of Chico’s Furniture.

Aminata Jallow: She’s one of the most respected women in the restaurant and foodservice industry. Her Chop Shop, which was established in 2014, is now the country’s leading fast food chain.

Musa Leigh: He’s the CEO of Leigh Properties, one of the most reliable real estate companies in the country. Recently, Musa started a shop where he sells building materials.

Haddy Faye: She’s the owner of Absolute Entertainment. Haddy brought fresh and innovative creations to the country’s events industry. She planned and executed an endless amount of events including Jamaican star Chronixx’s debut concert in The Gambia.

Alhagie Manka: He’s the country’s most successful photographer, photographing people, places and events across the country for companies, government agencies and international organizations. Manka is the owner of the State of Mic.

Ismail D. Badjie: A US-trained pharmacist, Ismail is the owner of Innovarx Global Health, which was founded to bridge the gap in healthcare services.

Omar Njie: He was living and working in Sweden before returning home to start the SmartPhone House along Kairaba Avenue. Omar is now involved in different businesses creating multiple jobs for young Gambians.

Muhammed Sanyang: He’s the owner of MBK Farms, the biggest poultry farm in the West Coast Region. Muhammed has over 4000 birds producing thousands of eggs in a day.
